- Mpeg/WMV Player
If you have a video in either mpg or wmv (or asf) format, you can use this player to play the video. The player has a left pane for you to put your marketing pitch, such as slogan, descriptions, and contacts. The upper right pane is where the video will be shown. The lower right pane also has two hyperlink buttons, one to your website and on for your email address. Please see the screenshot for details.
The package comes with two files, player.exe and player.ini. Edit player.ini to change the player title, the descriptions, your web address, and your email address. Put both player.exe and player.ini at the root directory of your CD-ROM along with the autorun.inf which should be:
[autorun]
open=player.exe
- Program Starter
As described in Question 3 of the Faq section, auto running a CD-ROM requires a self-excutable program in the "open= " statement of autorun.inf. If you need to autorun an HTML file, for example, you can't just put open=index.htm as index.htm is not a self-excutable program (files ended with .exe). To solve this problem, you'll need a starter program which takes index.htm as a parameter. Download this program starter and put it in the root directory of your CD-ROM. Your autorun.inf should then be:
[autorun]
open=startpgm.exe index.htm
